The W@ICFP session aims to connect women researchers, students and developers working in Functional Programming. We hope to celebrate achievements, big and small, and to provide a low-pressure atmosphere to foster building one’s support group.
In particular, we aim to:
Increase feelings of community and belonging, especially among those starting in the field, through positive interactions with more established researchers and practitioners.
Establish new connections and collaborations
Create a culture of support, growth, and welcoming in the Functional Programming research community.
We are delighted to announce that Maria Klawe, President of Harvey Mudd College, has agreed to give a short talk, followed by a Q&A session, about her work on gender equality at Harvey Mudd. This event is freely available to everyone at ICFP. So do come!
