ICFP 2020
Thu 20 - Fri 28 August 2020

Conference registration is now closed.

The ICFP 2020 organizing committee is committed to developing a diverse community, accessible to everyone. If you would like to request a waiver of the registration fee, please fill out the waiver form by 8 August, 2020. Note the form to request a waiver is now closed and all applications have been processed. If you have not yet received a response to a previously submitted request, please email registration-2020@icfpconference.org.

The ICFP 2020 conference registration fees are:

On or before 8/8/20 After 8/8/20
ACM or SIGPLAN Member $75 $100
Nonmember* $100 $125
Student member of ACM or SIGPLAN FREE $15
Student nonmember* $15 $30
*nonmember fees include SIGPLAN membership.

There is a single fee for access to all events during August 23-28th, 2020, including workshops, keynotes, technical talks, tutorials, social events, and more. While some parts of the technical program will be freely available online, registration will be required for the interactive parts of the week, including social events, discussions, and tutorials.

Students are strongly encouraged to apply for PLMW, the Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop, which has a separate registration process.

Why is there a fee to attend a virtual conference? Although the expenses for running a virtual conference are much lower than that of a physical event, they are not zero. In particular, the ICFP registration fees go towards publication costs, the virtual hosting platforms, student attendance, the programming contest prizes, and other expenses. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to keep these fees low. However, your support means that we will be able to make ICFP a model of a sustainable virtual event.

Note for ICFP authors only: in additional to the usual registration fees, there is an additional item for the article processing charge for Gold Open Access publication of ICFP papers. SIGPLAN has arranged with ACM a reduced fee of US$400 per paper. Authors who have funding for publication charges are encouraged to pay this additional fee; for authors who are unable to pay, SIGPLAN has agreed to cover those costs to ensure that all articles published in PACMPL are available on a Gold OA basis in the ACM Digital Library. (This new option is for papers in the main ICFP conference only, not for workshop papers.)
